Add Opening Balance To add the opening balance for the bank there are 2 options for you to add this, first, you can add the balance upon creating the account. Secondly, you can record it as a Journal Entry. We can create a Journal Entry by going to New button>> Journal Entry >> Bank deposit transaction>>account select opening balance equity>>then add description>> Save
