All over the country public gardens, hospitals and wells roads grew up. Special provision was made for the education of women. Four great university Town- Taxila Mathura Ujjain and Nalanda- attracted students not only from India, but from distant countries, from china to Western Asia and these students carried back home with them the message of Buddha's teaching.
