Chapter 1 Questions to ponder What do you do when all you have vanishes? When you weep all night, tears on your cheeks but there's none to comfort you? When your husband/fiancee/loved ones leave you? When your friends turn against you? When you find no rest no matter where you go b'se those who persecute you have overcome you? When you mourn, and yet abandoned, and alone? When you make a party but no one turns up? When you loose control of your life and turn into a bitter person? When you see your enemies prospering, your adversaries are in charge? When your beauty is no more, and your sons are like stock with no pasture? When your troops are without strength before your pursuers? When your enemies break in but no one to help you? When your enemies make fun and mock you about your problems? When all that honored you now despises you? When you are covered in shame b'se your nakedness is exposed and you turn backward? When your past catches up with you? Your filthiness is in your skirts and you can't remember your end for there's no one to comfort you? When your enemy have been magnified above you? Like Job, you loose all that is pleasant and valuable to you? When you come to terms with yourself, and see what you've become. like Job, you cry unto God to to take away the sorrow, the affliction that you're facing? When you turn and complain about God, b'se of the sorrow, the affliction, bitterness, about how your enemies have prevailed against you, how you have become desolate, and your strength is faint. When you weep, crying yourself to sleep, your pillows are wet, b'se even God who should be relieving you seems so far from you When you lost your family, your marriage, your children, business b'se your enemies prevailed against you. When you're drowning in your problems, but none to rescue you When you don't fit in anymore with your family members, church community, work colleagues, the society as they look at you as an outcast? When you make calls to your lovers deceive you, your family disowns you, even your pastors gave up on you, When they think you're no better than the dead? (dead among the living they call you) When you loose your skin, you're in distress, you're in fear, your heart is turned within you, when you're surrounded bye death
