"Good day!
This is concerning the CNAM of the phone number (xxx) xxx-XXXX. We have completed updating the CNAM to ""......"" and were found to be working with further testing.
Please bear in mind that the Caller ID is dependent on both the outbound carrier (ourselves, in this case, as the owner of the number) and the receiving carrier (carrier of the ""to"" number, in this case, the recipient of the call).
Should the number you call-in show a different CNAM or none at all, it should be reported to the number's carrier. Some inbound providers (carriers of the ""top"" number) will utilize cached or non-refreshed caller ID databases to interpret the caller ID when they receive an inbound call or fail to update from all of the LIDB (Line Information Database) providers. Traditional telephone companies in the United States use this to store and retrieve Caller ID information. We would not be able to force a carrier's behavior on how they choose to handle inbound calling. We also cannot open tickets with those carriers because they require their end customers to engage them for support. This is also to protect CPNI (Customer Proprietary Network Information) of such end-customers receiving your call.
Thank you for choosing RingCentral as your communications provider!"
