Anti-Slime Toshisato Kanegae (Series)

Synopsis After an accident, Toshisato, the son of the great Kanegae family, dies a tragic death. This led to his parents being in a very dark place and eventually stopped working- which led to their company being in financial chaos. Hachitoki, the father's secretary and the family's butler's son, decided to do a revival ritual that his mother once taught him. While doing the ritual, he accidentally missed a step and made Toshisato into a being that would turn into slime when it's hot or when he's overworked. Turning into slime would kill him again, which is the problem. After waking up in the forest, Toshisato eventually lost all his memories but was found by a classmate who led him to Bonkou, his friend when he was still alive. Bonkou is the son of yet another rich man, Chokyumei-no chosuke Erayama. Their family is known for being one of the richest and most successful in the country, richer than Kanegae's, though this family also has weird standards for punishments, such as Chokyumei-no chosuke forcing Bonkou to dance the Bon odori everytime he disrespects salarymen and middle-to-low-class workers. Toshisato, recently waking up with no memories, was weirded out by this. It would also be a problem if his parents found him, though it's already weird that Bonkou found him and wasn't weirded out as Bonkou was also part of the accident Toshisato was in. Genre: Comedy, Slice-of-Life, Fantasy Toshisato Kanegae (??? ??) Bonkou Erayama (?? ??) Reibara Kanegae (??? ???) Tegomaru Kanegae (??? ???) Chokyumei-no chosuke Erayama (?? ??????) Hachitoki (??) One day, Bonkou, Toshisato, and a bunch of other friends they have, held a party at a secret party-place they had together as the children of extremely rich families. Not knowing the dangers of the place, the building collapsed, killing Toshisato along the way. Bonkou knew he died. After this tragic event, the Kanegae's stocks plummeted since they refused to work. This led Hachitoki, Tegomaru's (the father) secretary and son of the butler, to do something about it as he was also being affected. He remembered a certain spell his mother taught him when he was young- a spell to revive the dead, where his mother revived his pet bunny. Putting Toshisato's dismembered body unto a block of cold wood, Hachitoki began working on it secretly (he smuggled the dead body out of the cremation site). A successful work he has done... though he's forgotten a step and now Toshisato is subject to turning into some sort of slime when subject to intense heat, sunlight, or work, and will eventually die again if he fully turns into a slime. Too afraid to actually turn him in to his parents, Hachitoki decided to leave him in the forest with a note on top "I've returned your son." About a few hours later, a schoolmate of both Bonkou and Toshisato found his sleeping, naked body on the forest that he normally does his hiking in. Not knowing Toshisato's address, he handed him over to Bonkou, who's address was known by the whole school as he gives it off casually. Bonkou wasn't too shocked about Toshisato's revival, it was quite odd. When he woke up, it was revealed that he had no memories of his past whatsoever- he did not know who his parents was, where he used to live, where he studied, or even his name. Though, it was revealed that Bonkou got Toshisato's clothing after his death because Tegomaru's pp cannot fit into his son's briefs, unlike Bonkou, who can. Due to that, he made Toshisato wear his clothing, which made no difference as they had the same body proportions. One small detail, the note. The note Hachitoki left flew away as he did not have enough time to actually put it properly on Toshisato's body. This note went to the city and now everyone thinks there's been a kidnapper... in which they aren't technically wrong. Since Toshisato forgot all his memories, he's been more honest in his judgement. This led to Bonkou being absolutely damaged by Toshisato's commentary since the Erayama household holds some very weird traditions. It's also revealed that Bonkou had a "Toshisato Shrine," where he worshipped him in a secret room. No one will ever know why Bonkou had this room, but it wasn't anything romantic... it's mostly sexual and status admiration. Why would Bonkou admire Toshisato's status when they're both rich and when the Erayama household is technically richer and more powerful than the Kanegae's? Because Toshisato's also naturally gifted as well as his household is not TOO successful, which meant he still had some time to cozy himself down with his luxury instead of being pressured to very inhumanely high standards by the Erayama household (in which Bonkou is subjected to). Throughout the story, Toshisato never gains back his old memories and rather just brings back new ones. His parents will eventually find him but they will be in even more shock than Bonkou ever had reacted. But now, why did Bonkou not react strongly to Toshisato's death? Because he was in denial. He made up in his mind that Toshisato was just off to study in some big, academic place outside Japan. Bonkou admired Toshisato too much that he refused to acknowledge his death. It ends with Toshisato dying almost the same death again, being crushed under some really hard mechanical machine this time. Bonkou then realized the resemblance and almost lost himself. This is to show that those who are dead should simply just rest and that you'd just have to move on and accept that. Of course, Bonkou's Toshisato Shrine gets kept a secret until the end of the series as he'll forever admire the dead wonder that is Toshisato Kanegae. Everyone moves on with life and the Kanegae soon went back to being a successful company right at #6 with the Erayama's company sitting way above on top. Bonkou eventually ran off to actually get a life.
